Jack was born on November 26, 1932 at Watonga to Orval Ent and Fern Etta Salladay Ent and passed from this life on October 3, 2013 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 - 1956. Jack started work at Union Equity and retired from Farmland Industry. He loved to golf, travel and fish. Jack loved his happy hour. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Jack was a member of the Ringwood Lion’s Club for many years. You might also find Jack at the local casino.
He was loved by everyone and he will be missed greatly.
Jack is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson-Ent of Ringwood; five children, Elizabeth Craig, Tammy Smith, Karen Priest, Roy Ent and Sheila Elliott and husband, Craig; step-daughter, Lark Johnson and husband, Dan; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four sisters, Virginia (Deed) Jones, Dixie Beckwith and husband, Wendall, Anna Galusha, Mildred (Millie) Rader and husband, Ernie; brother, Harold Ent; sister-in-law, Joyce Duck and husband, Henry; brother-in-law, Art Duhame and wife, Doreen; several nieces; nephews and many friends.
Those who preceded Jack in death include, his first wife, Vera Louise Brawner Ent; brother, Howard Kay Ent; father, Orval Ent; mother, Fern Ent Beckwith; one granddaughter and step-dad, John Beckwith.
Graveside service for Walter “Jack” Ent, 80, is today, October 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bill Wedel officiating. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes association through the funeral home.
