Vera Marlatt

Ringwood-Funeral service for Vera will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Ringwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Terrill Parvin and James Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Vera was born December 9, 1928 at Loyal, the daughter of Harold and Sarah Sheridan Stewart and passed from this life on February 13, 2014 in Enid. Vera was a homemaker who had lived in the Ringwood area for 85 years. She was a person who loved to sew and quilt. Her life was spent loving and raising her children, and she always remembered every child's and grandchild's birthday. She attended the Ringwood Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Marlatt; one sister, Joyce Able; two brothers, Roy Stewart and Ike Stewart; grandson, Jamie Chappell; two sons-in-law, Randy Newman and Mark Geiger.

Survivors include her children, Wesley Spomer and wife, Judy of Lahoma, Della Geiger of Augusta, Kansas, Dale Spomer and wife, Jarita of Houston, Texas, Wanda Newman of Ringwood, Ray Spomer and wife, Sandy of Okarche, Lee Spomer and wife, Donita of Rhame, North Dakota; four brothers, Kenneth Stewart and wife, Pat of Wichita, Kansas, Owen K. (Pete) Stewart and wife, Darla of Dimmitt, Texas, Jack Stewart and wife, Twila of Ely, Iowa, Bill Stewart and wife, Norene of Oakview, California; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the church or Hospice Circle of Love through the funeral home.
