Blackwell-Graveside service for Velma Marie Bellin Pittman, 94, will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday from, 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Velma was born on December 11, 1919 near Medford to Charles Herman Bellin and Susie Ritnour Bellin and passed from this life on December 7, 2014 in Oklahoma City. She married Carol Andrew Pittman on August 4, 1937 in Wellington, Kansas. They celebrated their 55th anniversary. They made their home in Medford and Blackwell, where Carol was a foreman for the Blackwell Water and Light Department. Velma was an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. Velma and Carol loved to camp.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carol in 1992,. She also was preceded by four brothers, Marion, Edward, Johnie and Ray; two sisters, Etta Bellin Currier and Josie Bellin Smith.
She is survived by many nephews and nieces.
