Former Aline resident, Ted Arnold (Piffy) Goodno, 84, died July 23, 2018 in Enid surrounded by his family.
Ted was born December 14, 1933 on the family farm west of Aline to George Robert Goodno and Erma Mary (Swiger) Goodno. He was the 5th of six children born to this union. He attended Aline High School until the 11th grade when he decided to start farming full-time. He was united in marriage to Louise DeClerck on September 28, 1952. This marriage was blessed with two children, Julia Michele and Melonie Ann. Together, Ted and Louise farmed and owned and operated Goodno’s Store in Aline for 30 years. Ted also owned Goodno Trucking Company.
His interests included farming, raising cattle and drinking coffee at the Co-op. Most of the time these activities were done alongside his employee and lifelong friend (who was more like family), Gary Tuttle. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren the ins and outs of farming and ranching from early childhood through to young adulthood. He was also proud of and happy to see his five great-grandchildren. He had just found out that a sixth great-grandchild is on the way.
Ted leaves many family members to cherish his memory. Survivors include sister, Barbara Barton; daughters, Michele Campbell and husband, Bob and Melonie Stinson and husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Casey Campbell and wife, Jenna, Andy Campbell and wife, Gina, Emily Powell and husband, Brandon, and Amy Oatman and husband, Mark; five great-grandchildren, Reese and Emerson Campbell, Kynlee Campbell, Madison and Macy Powell and two bonus grandchildren, Cooper and Jaicee Stinson.
Ted was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Louise, who passed just six days before him; parents, George and Erma; brothers, Bill, Floyd and Lincoln; sister, Mary Vignon and Gary Tuttle, lifelong employee and friend.
