Stanley J. Lebeda passed from this life on November 15, 2019 at Wakita Community Health Center at the age of 97. Stanley was born to Stanley and Mary Jindra Lebeda on their farm southwest of Renfrow on June 29, 1922. He attended public school in Medford and graduated in 1941. Stanley served in WWII in the Army Air Corp and was discharged to return to the farm he loved. He often said there was nothing about farming that he didn’t like. Like most farmers he always wanted to be on or near the land and was always ready to “get back home” on those occasions when he and Betty went on a trip.
Stanley married Betty Kelly in 1982 and they moved to a home in Medford where he continued to farm up until just a few years ago.
Stanley is preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters, Agnes Lebeda and Alice Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Betty and her children, Gary Kelly and wife, Noreen of Prescott, Arizona, Terry Kelly of Panama City Beach, Florida, Rodney Kelly and wife, Mandy of Spring, Texas; nephews, David Cooper and wife, Kim of Salina, Kansas and Max Cooper and his wife of Ft. Worth, Texas.
