Sheina Frieouf

February 11, 1952 — July 15, 2021

Medford

Sheina Rashell (Stowers) Frieouf, age 69, was born on February 11, 1952 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas to Arthur and Betty (Goodman) Stowers and passed from this life on July 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City.

As a toddler, Sheina moved with her family to England for a brief time before returning to the States to live in White Settlement, Texas where she had many fond memories of her school days there.  The family then moved home to Pond Creek, Oklahoma where Sheina attended high school.  With a little summer school, she graduated high school a year earlier than planned, as Valedictorian, in 1969, receiving both the Regents and Masonic scholarships.  She then went on to OSU in Stillwater to major in Business, though she left OSU in 1970 after only a year of study in order to marry and start a family.

On May 2, 1970, she married Rodney Kim Frieouf in Renfrow, Oklahoma and the couple moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma where Sheina did secretarial work.  In 1974 the couple returned home to farm near Renfrow, and they also owned and operated the Renfrow Station and later the Wakita Station.  Sheina was also a tax preparer for many years and valued the friendships that grew over the years of doing farm tax returns.  She went to work for Advance Food Company’s accounting department in 2000, where she was employed about 12 years.  She then worked part-time for Lanman Funeral Home in Medford from 2013 to 2021.  Sheina loved many things including God, music, flowers, and movies, but she had a special love for her grandchildren and played a central role in all their lives.

Sheina is survived by her four siblings, sister, Carlotta Isaacs, sister, Sheila Pelletier, brother, Mickey Stowers and wife Kay, and brother, Scott Stowers and wife Cathy; three children, Clif Frieouf, Cory Frieouf, and Tracy Cochran and husband, Lance; four grandchildren, Landon Frieouf and Lexi, Tori, and Tru Cochran, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Art Stowers and Betty Stowers Hignite, and her son, Jesse Frieouf.

Service for Sheina will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Medford, with viewing prior to the service.  Burial will be in Braman Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford.  www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook:  Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
