Ruth Reimer

Ruth Ann (Shampine) Reimer was born on December 22, 1946 in East Tawas, Michigan and considered Herman and Elizabeth Brunngreaber as her parents. She departed this life at her home in Medford on March 4, 2014.

Ruth lived in Michigan until she moved to Oklahoma with her first husband, Neal Cowherd. To this union were born Sue Ann (Susie), Kelly, and Robin. Later she married Larry Reimer and to this union was born Russell Dean.

Ruth worked as a CNA, CMA, and cook and was retired at the time of her death.

Ruth will be remembered as being feisty, spunky, loving, unselfish, an excellent cook, great Meme to her grandchildren, stubborn, hard-working, and she did not let her small stature hold her back in any of her life's endeavors. Ruth was very proud to be a member of the Medford Church of the Nazarene.

Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Cowherd; former husband, Neal Cowherd and parents, Herman and Elizabeth Brunngreaber.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Reimer; children, Sue Ann (Susie) and Steve Stevens, New Braunfels, Texas, Robin Cowherd, Medford, and Russell and Becky Reimer, Medford. Also surviving are grandchildren, Preston, Matthew, Jessica, Ashley, Angela, Devin, and Addison; one great-grandchild, Brandon Stout; brother, Frank in Michigan, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014, at Church of the Nazarene in Medford with Pastor Kathy Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday, March 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Medford Church of the Nazarene may be given through the funeral home.
