Aline-Funeral service for Rose Marie Thompson will be Friday, July 26, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Plains Church of the Brethren, rural Aline, with Pastor Len Coulter officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Viewing will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Rose was born on May 23, 1942 in Lamont to Lewis Marshall Martin and Nina DeRice Downum Martin and passed from this life on July 23, 2013 at her home. Rose worked as a CMA in Carmen for 11 years, Helena for 10 years and at Cherokee Manor for 3 years. She sold Avon products for fifteen years. Rose married Robert L Thompson on April 18, 1995 in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Thompson; four children, Mike and Lisa Chaney, David Chaney, Robbie and Monica Thompson and Alan and Joyce Thomson; four grandchildren and one sister, Tillie Walton.
Those who preceded her in death include her first husband, Charles Chaney; her parents; two brothers, Vernon E Martin and John Lee Martin
Memorials may be given to Cherokee Manor Activity Fund through the funeral home.
