Rae Mccullough

Rae Lynn McCullough was born in Tulsa on April 10, 1965 and passed from this life on January 29, 2022 in Oklahoma City.  She was a graduate of Carmen-Dacoma High School and had attended college at Northwestern in Alva.  After college she had lived and worked in Florida until approximately six years ago when she moved back to Oklahoma and made her home in Cherokee.  Rae Lynn and her high school sweetheart, Darren, had been reunited on Facebook.

Rae Lynn had worked for about three years at Cherokee Dollar General Store.  She had worked security for the Windmill Farm being built by Aline and it was while she was working here that she was diagnosed with cancer.  She enjoyed spending time with all her family.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Ron Shepard; grandparents, Raymond and Flora McCollum and Ira and Glenda Curry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mom, Linda Shepard; her dad and his wife, Dennis and Betty McCollum; stepbrothers, James Shepard, Richard Shepard, Doug Schlup, Chet Cotton; stepsisters, Tonya Shepard, Nikki Woolsey, Leslie Drake; her fiancé, Darren Hart; many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Celebration of Life Service for Rae Lynn will be Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Cherokee.  www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook:  Lanman Funeral Home Inc.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Integris Cancer Center or OU Cancer Center through the funeral home.
