Loyal - Funeral service for Phil (P.W.) Stitt Wahling, 78, will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Loyal Evangelical Church with burial at Forest Home Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, October 23, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, October 20, 2015 Phil Stitt Wahling, a longtime resident of Loyal, Oklahoma went to see the Lord in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Phil was born July 12, 1937 to Rudy and Jessie Wahling of Loyal, Oklahoma. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1955. He met and married Alice Alexander of Valliant, Oklahoma in April of 1957. Together they raised their two children, Terrie Kay and Gus Dean.
Phil or "PW" as everyone called him, had a long career in the Aircraft Maintenance Department for Aero Commander, Gulf Stream and Commander Aircraft. He has been a "weekend" rodeo competitor for over 50 years, making many friends and longtime buddies along the way.
Phil is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Terrie; grandchildren, Kris Mendel and Jessie Mendel Seymour; great grandchildren, Tysen, Gus and McKinsey Mendel and Zeb, Zane and Zoey Seymour.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kay Oyler and son, Gus Wahling.
