Paul R. “Bob” Stark
April 26, 1941 - June 1, 2018
Bob was born April 26, 1941 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Paul James Stark and Edith Evelyn Stark and passed from this life on June 1, 2018 in Kiowa, Kansas. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1959. Bob loved the sport of basketball. . .”Go Jayhawks!”
Bob and Ginny Tidwell met in Kiowa and were united in marriage on November 10, 1978. Together they raised two daughters, Ginger, Cindy and a granddaughter, Riley. After years of helping farmers, Bob began his Stark Fertilizer business which he enjoyed for thirty-two years.
Over the years, he served three terms on the Kiowa City Council and District Hospital Board. When he retired, he loved spending time with his family and participating in his favorite hobbies: hunting and fishing with Tom and friends. Bob also got a kick out of riding around town with his little, white dog, Bitsy.
Bob was a hardworking man with the kindest heart, who never knew a stranger. He was always there to lend a helping hand.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edith Stark; his brother, Fred Stark and daughter, Cindy Denton.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny; daughter, Ginger Siewert; granddaughter, Riley Denton; nephews, Tom and Brian Stark.
A celebration of life service for Bob will be on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. the Congregational United Church and followed by burial at Riverview Cemetery in Kiowa. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc. of Kiowa. Viewing will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 6, 2018 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
