Nelda Fowler

Medford-Funeral service for Nelda will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Medford. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m.

Nelda was born on November 25, 1928 in Iowa Park, Texas to Buford Ferris Leach and Mary Elizabeth Ray Leach and passed from this life on September 8, 2016 in Enid. After high school Nelda married Billy Fowler on December 12, 1947 in Electra, Texas. To this union three children were born: Carolyn, Marilyn and Nancy. Nelda had lived in the Medford area over fifty years. She was a member of the Medford Church of Christ and North Garland Church of Christ in Enid and a member of the Mothers Club. Nelda loved crocheting and her grandchildren all received a crocheted Christmas stocking from her. Nelda's other pastimes included playing canasta and walking with friends. She was a very loving person with a contagious personality. Nelda was a little lady with a great big heart who was always thinking of others.

Those who preceded Nelda in death include her husband, Bill; her parents, Buford and Mary Leach; brothers, H.C. Leach and Hoyt Leach; sisters, Mary Beth Leach, Vivian McKelvey, and Margaret Johnson.

Survivors include three children, Carolyn Reith of Enid, Marilyn Hasler and husband, Al of Milan, Michigan and Nancy Williams of Medford; five grandchildren, Mary Downing and husband, Kevin of Medford, David Reneau and wife, Amy of Bixby, Megan Conrady and husband, Corey of Enid, Melissa Hasler of Milan, Michigan and Sarah Fetterolf and husband, Ian of Milan, Michigan; nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Memorials may be given to Medford Church of Christ through the funeral home.
