Wichita, formerly Kiowa-Graveside service for Mildred "Millie" Louise Groendycke will be Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery. Viewing will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mildred was born on March 9, 1926 in Kiowa to George Groendycke and Alice Zimmerman Groendycke and passed from this life on September 8, 2015 in Wichita. She graduated from Kiowa High School in 1944. Millie then attended WSU in Wichita. She was married to Parker Wiley for 25 years. During her career she was a secretary, accountant, realtor, tax consultant and owner of Mildred Groendycke Resources. She enjoyed donating her time volunteering with American Red Cross. Millie led a very colorful life and was well traveled.
Those who preceded Millie in death include her parents, George and Alice Groendycke and son, Russell Wiley.
Survivors include Millie's son, Michael Wiley and Sue; grandchildren, Dawn Pennell and Russell; Darcy Winingham and Tyson, Josh Wiley and Stacey and twelve great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for Millie at Wichita Fellowship Club, Inc. at 204 W 18th Street, Wichita, KS 67203.
