KIOWA-Mildred Marion Schwartz, 96, passed away on October 9, 2013 at the Kiowa District Hospital. Graveside service will be Friday, October 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Riverview Cemetery.
Mildred was born in Kiowa on October 10, 1916 to Abe and Annie Brannan Van Gundy. She graduated from Kiowa High School with the class of 1934. She worked at the Doris Fashion Shop and was a homemaker and seamstress. On October 21, 1936 she and Clyde Edward Schwartz were united in marriage. She was a life long resident of Kiowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Charlie Van Gundy and Ralph Van Gundy; nephew, Jackie Van Gundy.
She is survived by her great niece, Terri and husband, Marty Seikel of Yukon, Oklahoma; two great great nieces Jill and husband, Mike Halverson and Kelly Parker; four great great great nieces and nephews Presley and Dawson Parker, Creed and Hart Halverson.
The casket will be open at the cemetery before the service.
