Mattye Smith

Graveside service for Mattye Smith of Meno will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery west of Meno. Viewing will be Monday 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with family present 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Mattye was born October 13, 1914 in Ringwood to JC and Roxie Headrick and passed from this life Friday, January 27, 2017 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She moved to Meno in 1923 and she married Louis Smith on November 16, 1940 in Ringwood. She was one of the owners of S & H Propane Company for 29 years and was also a farmer. Mattye was a member of the VFW in Enid for at least 50 years and also a member of the Ringwood Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.

Those who survive are her daughter, Debbie Davidson and husband, Mike of Meno; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Mattye’s memory to M.A.R.C. Senior Center of Ringwood through the funeral home.
