Medford-Funeral service for Mary will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Medford First Christian Church with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. Mary was born January 11, 1920 in Perry, Oklahoma to Charles Kirtley and Jennie Sokol Kirtley and passed from this life at her home in Medford, Oklahoma early Sunday morning on September 21, 2014. She attended Perry and Billings High Schools graduating in 1937. Mary and George H. Bocox were married in Enid, Oklahoma on December 30, 1939.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George (November 17, 1993); son-in-law, Robert O'Rourke; great grandson, Justin Bocox; four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include sons, George H. Bocox, Jr. and wife, Jane of Lenexa, Kansas and Tom Bocox and wife, Linda of Caldwell, Kansas; daughters, Marylyn Kay O'Rouke of Houston, Texas and Kathy Sue Marquis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Janice Endres of Edmond, Oklahoma and two sisters-in-law, Jo Kirtley of Edmond, Oklahoma and Fran Palm of Tulsa, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews.
