Margaret Nichols

Goltry-Funeral service for Margaret Nichols will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Zoar Mennonite Church with Pastor Leland Streck and Pastor Scott Hofen officiating. Burial will be in Karoma Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Margaret Pekrul Nichols was born August 24, 1920 at Alden, Oklahoma to Henry and Caroline Koehn Pekrul and passed from this life on July 29, 2013 in Helena. She and Virgil Nichols were married on August 23, 1936 at the home place by Rev. John P. Unruh and they enjoyed sixty-one years together before Virgil’s death in 1997. Margaret was a wonderful seamstress for many years. She loved working in her yard and growing flowers. She attended Zoar Mennonite Church where she participated in many church activities.

Survivors include four children, Donnis Kent of Helena, Roger Nichols and wife, Carlene of Helena, Dennis Nichols and wife, Susan of Helena, Jim Nichols and wife, Linda of Goltry; two brothers, Willard Pekrul of Oklahoma City and Everett Pekrul and wife, Shirley of Ringwood and one sister, Verna Unruh of Ringwood; ten grandchildren, Tony Kent, Todd Kent, Cody Ward, Scott Nichols, Joni Johnson, Jonny Nichols, Amanda Kapka, Angela Williams, Justin Hoeltzel and David Arndt; fifteen great-grandchildren, Kyle, Luke and Devon Kent, Kasie and Jerrid Bramwell, Logan and Sydney Ward, Tara Johnson, Josh, Jordan and Braden Nichols, Delta and Wyatt Williams, Mercedes and Gailey Hoeltzel; and three great-great-grandchildren, Jude and Olivia Kent and Gavin Bramwell.

Those who have preceded Margaret in death are her parents, Henry and Carrie Pekrul; her husband, Virgil Nichols; one sister, Alfreda Unruh; one brother, Orval Pekrul; two infant granddaughters and one daughter-in-law, Judy Nichols and one son-in-law, Tom Kent.

Memorials may be made to Zoar Mennonite Church or Ross Hospice through the funeral home.
