Funeral service for Marcine will be Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church in Okeene. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Marcine Olen Fox born January 24, 1926 to William and Bertha Weber Fox on the farm east of Okeene. He had one brother, Aldroyd William who was born 1919 and died at the age of nine. He attended Elm Grove School grades 1 to 4, and then graduated from Okeene Public Schools. Marcine was a mechanic, custom harvester for twenty-five years and a farmer. He married Dorthy Belle Bedwell in September of 1958 and to this union one daughter, Marilyn Janelle was born. In 1964 he married Evangeline Dorothy Clester, and they had one son, Marc Orien. Marcine also was blessed with three additional children when he married Dorothy: June, Garry and De. Marcine lived his later years on his Weber grandparents' homestead until his failing health caused him to move to Summers Health Services in Okeene.
Marcine's heart was with custom harvesting. He enjoyed fishing and watching various sports. Marcine loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid OSU football fan and was a fan of Shar-pei dogs and chickens and roosters. He was a member of Okeene Zion Baptist Church. He was a lifetime resident of the Okeene area.
Survivors include his children, Marilyn Ryan of Calumet, Marc Fox and wife, Connie of Okeene, June Crain Griffy of Sacramento, California, Garry David Crain and wife, Carrie of Oklahoma City and De Wood and husband, Skip of Wheatland; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Buckner, Bryce Fox, Royce Fox, Virginia Griffy Barrow, M.D., Leslie Griffy Akerson, Linsi Crain Smallwood, Ross Crain, Dana Wood Hartfield, Traci Wood Stiefer, Jennifer Shrestha and Melissa Dobrinski; sixteen great grandchildren and one niece, Kathy Stephens Swenson.
Those who preceded Marcine in death include his wife, Dorothy; his parents, William and Bertha and brother, Aldroyd.
Memorials may be given Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Arthritis or Heart division through the funeral home.
