Mallary Diane Herrera (19) was born on August 10, 2002 in Enid, Oklahoma and went to be with Jesus early Sunday morning, March 20, 2022, following a tragic car accident. Mallary is the daughter of Aaron & Lizzie Bruns and Hector & Karina Herrera. She was the BEST big sister to Jace, Cole, Eli, Adamariz, Hector Jr., and Paloma, and the absolute best mom to her pup, Sawyer Fin.
Mallary graduated from Pond Creek-Hunter High School in 2020 and completed her concurrent enrollment at Northern Oklahoma College in Enid the following year. She was currently a sophomore at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater where she was working towards a degree in entrepreneurship.
Mallary had a larger-than-life personality and always lived life to the fullest. She was vivacious and incredibly loyal to her friends and family, whom SHE LOVED SO MUCH. She was also a gifted athlete, playing AAU and high school basketball (she had one heck of a jump shot), running high school track, and just recently had joined the World Wakeboard Association through OSU and had plans to attend her first meet for the WWA in Phoenix, AZ. Mallary loved going to the lake and taking Papa’s boat out with her many friends, family, and of course, Papa was almost always there. Mallary loved the camera, and the camera loved her back. She was always documenting life with her friends, family, and her beloved fur baby, Sawyer. Mallary had a passion for God and attended the Life Church in Stillwater with her family regularly. Whether Mallary was studying hard, or jumping out of “perfectly good airplanes”, she made it a priority to make it home to be with her family every weekend. Always waiting for her with a big smile on his face was baby Eli. He brought a newfound joy to her life when he joined the family and she loved and cared for him as if he were her own. She also loved making funny videos and watching movies with her brothers, Jace and Cole.
