Lorraine Koehn

May 3, 1932 — December 4, 2014

Lorraine Koehn was born May 3, 1932 in Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Homer Eversole and Bernice Mae Merritt Eversole. She joined the Lord in her heavenly home on December 4, 2014 in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Lorraine received an associate teaching degree and taught school for a year before marrying B. W. Koehn, Jr. on July 24, 1953 in Elk City, Kansas. They spent their lives in Meno, Oklahoma farming and raising a family. Her grandchildren were a particular joy for her. She was very passionate and active in Major County Home Extension perfecting her seamstress and cooking skills while striving for perfection. She enjoyed very much hosting and serving people in their home. Later in her life, she worked at the daycare in Meno and eventually owned the Rainbow Connection Community Child Care Center. She was a longtime member of New Hopedale Mennonite Church and directed the Mother's Day Out Program there for some time.

Those who preceded her in death are her parents, Homer and Bernice Eversole; her stepfather, Dick Lessman and her husband, B. W. Koehn, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Marla Jean Clinesmith and husband, Trent of New Orleans, Louisiana, Berneta Haddox and husband, Clemo of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and Steven Koehn and wife, Patricia of Meno, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Andrew Clinesmith and spouse, Michelle, Blair Clinesmith, Brianne Bonnette and spouse, Matthew; Lisbeth and Benjamin Haddox; Blake, Hope, Chandler, Jackson and Chloe Koehn; and great grandchildren, Ethan and Hayden Clinesmith, Gavin Bonnette, and Bryson Phillips.

Funeral service for Lorraine will be Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at New Hopedale Mennonite Church in Meno with Pastor James Suderman and Pastor Larry Brashear officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing was held Sunday 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. in Helena.
