Linda Paulette Miller Wilson
May 28, 1947 - February 20,2020
Linda Paulette Miller Wilson was born on May 28, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas to George and Maxine Fussell Miller and was raised by Maxine and Bob Fullerton. She passed from this life on February 20, 2020 at the age of 72 years.
Linda grew up and attended school in Medicine Lodge, Kansas and Helena, Oklahoma. Linda was active in Pep Club and as a sophomore was crowned football homecoming queen. Linda also enjoyed riding in the car with her cousin, Janet.
On March 20, 1964, Linda began working as an overnight switchboard operator for Pioneer Telephone in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Encouraged by Pat Rivers, a Pioneer employee she deeply respected, Linda accepted a cashier position in Drummond and moved there in 1970. She remained in Drummond until her retirement on April 28, 2006. She cherished her Pioneer family, especially Susie, Kim, Jim, Allan and Sara. Linda was a proud, grateful, and loyal employee for 42 years.
Linda’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, traveling and gambling. Some of the family’s greatest memories come from gatherings at Aunt Linda’s house where you could do no wrong and drink all the soda you cared to! Linda and cousin, Janet made 39 consecutive trips to Las Vegas, and she still talked about the family gathering in Kentucky and the recent “girls” trip to Las Vegas.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelly; her faithful companion, Hope and grand-kitties, Ruckus and Buddy of the home; her brother, Jim Miller and wife, Rhonda of Lynchburg Virginia; her sisters, Robbie and Susan Fullerton of Blanchard, Oklahoma and her sister-in-law, Patti Frank of New England, North Dakota. Aunt Linda is also survived by a BUNCH of nieces and nephews who will always treasure their special aunt: Bryce and Michelle Miller and their family; Tyson and Erica Miller and their family; Mindy and Francisco Metcalfe and their family; McKyland and Suzanne Miller and their family; McKenzie Milller; Raynna and Kyle Hodges and their family; Jessica and Dell Eisenbarth and their family; BJ Fullerton and Lisa, and Amy and Kelly Herberholz and their family. Also surviving Linda is her Wilson family: Shawnpaul and Nicole Wilson and family; Aaron and Michelle Wilson and family; Jimmy and Tiffani Wilson and family; TJ and Chris Harris and family; sisters-in-law, Carol Swopes, Roberta Buller and Marlene Stewart and their families.
