Donna Texas-On March 2, 2016 Linda Kay Smith Boyer went to her eternal home with the Lord. She was a winter resident of Donna, Texas at the time of her passing.
Linda was born on August 15, 1940 to Raymond Virgil Smith and Wahlelle Russell Smith in Bereau, Ohio In 1948 Linda moved to Oklahoma City, Ok and graduated from Putnam City High School in 1958. After high school Linda attended OSU (Oklahoma State University). Linda was married to Donald Lee Boyer on May 23, 1980. Don brought three children, Susan Marie, Diana Lea, and Rodney Lynn into their marriage.
Linda worked at AT&T and was sent to MRP management school and retired as a Production Planning Analyst in 1990. Don and Linda moved to Tahlequah in 1995. They spent a lot of time traveling in their 5th wheel trailers after her retirement. They were members of the Airstream Club and Linda was a member of the Red Hat Society. Linda liked to watch Joyce Meyers as well as other evangelical broadcasts. Linda and Don were married 36 years at the time of her passing.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Wahlelle Smith and daughter, Diana Lea Boyer.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Boyer; brother, Russell Alan Smith and his wife, Devra; daughter, Susan Boyer Aluzri and her husband, Jaafar; son, Rod Boyer and his wife, Donna; her grandchildren, Jennifer Aluzri Smith, Rylan Boyer and Haley Boyer; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Aluzri and Jorja Smith; nieces, Kiersten and Lynne-Anne; nephew, Robert; sisters-in-law, Deanne Terry and her husband, Jr.; Jolene Balch and her husband, Steve and many more family members and loved friends.
Graveside service for Linda will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery, Medford . Viewing will be at the graveside only on Wednesday.
