Kenneth Marshall

Jet-Funeral service for Kenneth Dryden Marshall will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Vining Community Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Jet.

He was born on September 28, 1933 in Dewey to Charles and Juanita Marshall and passed from this life on August 13, 2013 in Wichita, Kansas. On May 15, 2004 he married the love of his life, Lois Jean Meador in Enid. They made their home in Jet. Ken attended Vo Tech and then went on to become an instructor in the Tulsa Vo Tech, teaching returning WW II veterans the trade of machinist. Ken then served in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War and was in the drop on the Chosin Reservoir. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ken then worked various jobs in the aerospace industry. At one time he made parts for the Lunar Rover.

Ken was an avid hunter. He also loved building models that represented WW II and the Korean War. Many of his models are on display at the Jet Museum and Woodring Airport. His models are very detailed and were researched as to even who flew the mission and what the mission was.

Ken is waiting in heaven to be joined by those he left behind including his wife, Lois Jean Marshall of Jet; daughter, Charlene Charlo of California; daughter-in-law, Joyce Marshall of Tulsa; brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, Phil and Francis Williamson of End; grandson, Keith Marshall, Jr. and wife, Andrea of Tulsa; granddaughter, Lahona Marshall of Tulsa; other grandchildren; great grandchildren and cousins. Ken also leaves behind his church family and a large circle of friends.

He has joined in heaven his parents, Charles and Juanita Marshall; his son, Keith Marshall, Sr.; his brother, Al Marshall and his sister, Barbara Marshall.

Memorials may be made to Vining Community Church of Jet or Nescatunga Rural Fire Department, Jet through the funeral home.
