Kavin Palmer

Kavin Earl Palmer was born in Ryan, Oklahoma on March 28,1960. He passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025 in Kiowa, Kansas. He moved to Kiowa in 1982 where he met the love of his life, Jill Helmley. He and Jill were married on March 9th, 1985. They spent 33 wonderful years full of adventures and family gatherings. 

He retired in 2018 from the OK Co-op. After retirement Kavin enjoyed fishing, visiting with locals at the Plum Thicket, spending time with his brother, Don and many other family members.

He was very proud of his nieces and nephews and loved traveling to watch their activities. Kavin and Jill were like second parents to them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jill; parents, Ernest and Marcella Palmer; sisters, Mary Martindale and Phyllis Johns;brothers, Buster Palmer and Bill Palmer and niece, Marcy Palmer. 

He is survived by brother, Don Palmer and wife, Susan; sisters,Jan Palmer, Marcia Keith, and Sue Johnson; sister-in-law, Sue Becker and husband, Scott; brother-in-law, Mike Helmley and wife, Linda as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who adored him. 

Graveside service will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa. www.lanmanfuneralhome.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
