Kathryn Luscombe

July 24, 1917 — April 1, 2014

Funeral service for Kathryn Luscombe, 96, will be Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Helena with Len Coulter officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Kathryn Luscombe was born in Meno on July 24, 1917, the daughter of Henry and Eva Koehn Eck and passed away April 8, 2014 in Enid. She and Harvey Luscombe were married in Enid on July 13, 1935. She had lived in the Meno-Helena area all her life. Her hobbies included quilting, antique collecting, and gardening. She was a seamstress, had worked as a CNA/CMA at RoMel Guest Manor and was very involved with Helena Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Helena United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Luscombe; four brothers; five sisters and one great grandson.

She is survived by her four daughters, Shirley Moore, Frances Galer and husband, Wayne, JoAnn Davis and husband, Bill, Rita Pjesky and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Toni Goforth and husband, Donald, Blayne Moore, Dana Beth Moore, Terri Galer and husband, John, Norman Galer and wife, Joyce, Randy Galer and wife, Rhonda, Darin Davis and wife, Tammi, Ryan Pjesky and wife, Hope, Rex Pjesky and wife, Meredith; great grandchildren, Brandi Garrison and husband, Brian, Stephanie Caldwell, Daniel Goforth and wife, Shayla, Louisa Peterson and husband, James, Ethan Galer, Sean Galer, Brandon Galer, Kathryn Galer, Anna Galer, Ashley Davis, Ruby Davis, Marshall Pjesky and Miranda Pjesky; step great-grandchildren, John Mark Vermillion and wife, Jenny, Elijah Chisholm, Jonah Chisholm and Micah Chisholm; great-great grandchildren, Caleb Garrison, Kathryn Garrison, Reagan Caldwell and Will Caldwell; step great-great grandchild, Aiden Vermillion; one brother, Lindy Eck and wife, Effie; two sisters, Clara Buller and husband, Henry and Mabel Buller; other relatives and friends.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Golden Oaks Nursing Center for the wonderful care she received. A heartfelt appreciation to Pastor John Zook for his weekly visits.

Memorials may be given to the Helena Historical Society or Samaritan's Purse through the funeral home.
