John Lawrence

John Frederick Lawrence was born to Frank E. Lawrence and Orpha P. Pettus Lawrence on February 18, 1955 in Enid and passed from this life on December 4, 2021 in Tulsa.  They made their home west of Aline.  John loved school.  He graduated from Aline-Cleo Highschool in 1973.  He tried many occupations, but his love was for farming.  He married Melinda Outhier on November 2, 1975 in Carmen.  He would tell you his greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Mindy Jo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Orpha Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda; daughter, Mindy Butcher and husband, Josh; grandchildren, Cori, Joshua, Hannah, and Laura Butcher; brothers, Danny Lawrence and wife, Joy, Bill Lawrence and wife, Dot, and Terry Lawrence and wife, Anna Faye; one sister, Linda Davidson; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Burial for John will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery southwest of Aline, and a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Aline First Christian Church.  Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.  Viewing will be Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  www.lanmanmemorials.com  Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
