Janet Marie Frisk, long time Cherokee resident, passed away on August 24, 2013 in Enid. She was born Janet Marie Goltz, January 2, 1956 in Shelby, Montana. At the age of three her family moved to Stockton, California, where she lived until 1973. She worked for the Cherokee Police Department for thirteen years and had worked for the Alfalfa County Sheriff since 1999. Among her hobbies, Janet loved quilting, plant rearing, and spending time with her grandbabies.
Mrs. Frisk was preceded in death by her brother, David; her sisters, Pamela and Rebecca and her mother, Shirley.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lewis; son-in-law, Joey Lewis; grandchildren Abi, Jacob and Kaiya; her son, Eddie Frisk; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Frisk; grandchildren, Alexis, Amanda and Bubba and her husband, Dennis Frisk.
Funeral service for Janet will be Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Lanman Chapel in Cherokee with Rev. Ed Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Cancer Division through the funeral home.
