James Harman of Meno, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior December 20,2018. He was born June 1, 1926 in Goltry to Quinten and Ada Johnson Harman. He graduated from Lahoma High school in 1944 and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He worked as a farmer until he retired.
James ministered to people through music as he traveled to nursing homes and churches around the country with his music ministry. He loved his family and friends, his church and community but, first and foremost he loved the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Harman of the home of Meno; son, Tyson Harman of Enid; daughter, Anita Casey and husband, Rick of Kerman, California; step daughter, Vicki Collier and husband, Terry of Hennessey; step son, David Justice and wife, Dawndria of Enid; step daughter, Jackie Ross and husband, Carl of Fairview; step daughter, Tammy Ferguson and husband, Robert of El Reno; sister, Etta Fern Vanbuskirk; four grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinten and Ada Harman; his first wife, Dorothy McPherson Harman; his son, Scott Harman and his sister, Sharon Hamblin.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
