Hodd Baker

Aline-Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for Hodd Baker, age 67, at the Glorious Church east of Cleo Springs and west of Ringwood with Steve Hula officiating. Burial will follow at Aline Star Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena.

Hodd Lee Baker was born February 21, 1948 in Monterey Park, California. to Lee and Gladys (McConkey) Baker and passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015. Hodd grew up on a farm near Glencoe, Oklahoma. He graduated from Carmen High Scool in 1966. He was called to duty with the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from August, 1968 through October, 1969. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground operations against hostile forces. He married Marilyn Booze on September 4, 1970. In 1976 their daughter, Kendi Leigh was born. He worked for the Aline Gas Plant as a heavy duty mechanic, ending his career in 1999 with Phillips Petroleum. In February, 1999 he married Sharon Cathey-Coenen of Stillwater, and their joy was serving the Lord together. On January 9, 2013 Hodd received a blessing, his Grandson Jackson Lee Wooten. Jackson Lee has been the light of his life for the last 2 1/2 years. Hodd enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his friends and working in his shop on cars and other construction projects.

Hodd was preceded in death by his parents and wife Marilyn.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home in Enid, daughter, Kendi and husband, Rhett Wooten, grandson, Jackson Lee; a special sister-in-law, Maricarol Wilson of Carmen; step children, Travis Jeffries and family, Dane Coenen, Shannon Coke, and Connor Coke.
