Jet-Funeral service for Henry Hobbs will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Jet United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery north of Jet
Henry was born on January 28, 1946 in Noel, Missouri to Doran Hobbs and Virgie Penn Hobbs and passed from this life on March 5, 2015 at his home. Henry proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After the Navy, he was a pipefitter for Goodyear in Topeka, Kansas. On June 14, 1995 he married Debra Stevens in Topeka, Kansas. Shortly after their marriage, Henry retired, and they moved to Jet. He had lived in this are about eighteen years. Henry became partners with Craig Ridgeway in a laundromat and car wash business. Henry was a hard worker and enjoyed also working for Craig at RMR. Henry's pastimes include watching KU basketball, golfing and vacationing in many states; a favorite included Hoover Dam. Henry was kind to everyone and looked out for others.
His parents preceded him in death along with his sister, Gail Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Debra of Jet; four children, Sid Hobbs, Deanna Volle, Eli Scott and Patrick Scott; six grandchildren, Heather Johnson and husband, Patrick, Sarah Moore and husband, Steven, Gavin Royer, Doran Hobbs, Khloe Volle and Kaysie Scott; three great grandchildren, Sieanna Ferguson, Garrett Johnson and Cole Moore; three brothers, Donnie Hobbs, Vernon Hobbs and Larry Hobbs; one sister, JoAnn Sears.
