KIOWA-Henry "Hank" Ferrell passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Driftwood Christian Church in Driftwood, Oklahoma at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Byron-Amorita Cemetery.
Hank was born on July 17, 1933 at Driftwood, Oklahoma in Alfalfa County to Leon Ferrell and Maude Winans Ferrell. He and Betty Summers were married and had three children; Deana, Debra and Tony. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. He was a farmer and a painter and drove a bus for Burlington Public School, worked for the Coop, Alfalfa County, John Deere and Farmall Tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Leon and Maude Ferrell; sisters, Pauline and Roslie; brothers, Jim, Bob and Bill.
He is survived by his three children; Deana Thompson and husband, Steve, Debra Hays and husband, Jeff, Tony Ferrell; seventeen grandchildren, Stephen and Christa Holt, Tiffany and Jessie Thomas, Letisha and Chris Nelson, Katie Jo Thompson, Jeff Jr. and Crystal Hays, Bruce Hays, Jeremy and Bridgett Kiser, Lonnie and April Hays, Melissa and Jon Frisbey, Megan and Luke Arellano, Chris and Madison Ferrell, Amanda Olsen, Jollen Jacobs, Joelle Jacobs, Janie Jacobs, Tessa Flick, Millie Ferrell; forty-one great grandchildren, Bethany, Lukas, Tyson and Izabella Holt, Cannon Thomas, Aaron, Zander and Mersedes Nelson, Mariah, Chonner and Sabtain Hays, Bruce Jr., Levi, Garrett and Korbyn Hays, Sierra, Ashley, Caylee, Brandon, Brittany Kiser, Tyler and Beau Frisbey, Madyson, Lane and Wyatt Arellano, Kyler Ferrell, Jaden and Noah Allen, Devin Olsen and Kaleb, Angela, Joel and Isabella Jacobs, Brantley and Roselyn Jacobs, Jessie and Ema Flick, Henry and Brea Ferrell; four great great grandchildren, Jahda, Kane, Aurora, Haven and one on the way; three brothers, Tommy, Teddy and Benny; one sister, Dolly Daniels many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 6-8.
Memorials may be made to the Kiowa Senior Center or the Kiowa VFW and given to the funeral home.
