Hazel Mcclung

Okeene-Funeral service for Hazel, 88, will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Okeene. Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.

Hazel was born August 1, 1928 in Dover to Paul and Gladys Armstrong. Hazel married the love of her life, Donald McClung, March 1, 1947. They had three daughters, Eliena McClung, Maria Nease and Gerri Heidebrecht.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; her husband; two brothers; three sisters; son-in-law, Jamie Nease and two grandchildren, Randy Lee Holmes and Andrew Knopp.

Hazel is survived by her three daughters, Eliena McClung of Stillwater, Maria Nease of Okeene, and Gerri and Norman Heidebrecht of Oklahoma City; along with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Marion Armstrong; sisters, Eunice Ferguson and Jewel and Anthony Felder and numerous other relatives.

Hazel spent many years helping care for her parents, in-laws, husband and other friends and relatives. She loved living on the family farm, watching the beautiful birds and farm animals including her favorite cat, “Henry”.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Okeene Hospital or Okeene Church of Christ through the funeral home.
