Meno-Funeral services for Gracie Mildred Ratzlaff will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ringwood United Methodist Church in Ringwood, Oklahoma with Rev. Terrill Parvin officiating, assisted by Pastor David Player, Altus, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, south of Ringwood. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 with family present from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Gracie passed away March 1, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid following a short illness. She was born January 29, 1931 to Willia (Bourne) and Perry Earl Bingham in Bison, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Ames and Lacey area. She married John Roe Ratzlaff on June 6, 1948. Gracie was active in the Ringwood Community Club, Ladies Home Extension Club and the Ringwood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music and was a self-taught musician who played piano at church and other functions. Her baking talents were well-known, especially her cinnamon rolls, yeast rolls, fudge and decorated cakes.
She was preceded in death by husband, John R. Ratzlaff; brothers, Albert, Everett and Joshua and sister, Phyllis.
She is survived by sons, Dennis E. Ratzlaff of Altus and Alan Ratzlaff of Tulsa; Alan's special friend, Ron Painter of Tulsa; grandson, Heath Ratzlaff and great-grandsons, Ashyr and Asah of Enid.
