Eula was born on February 9, 1920 to Conrad Kraft and Elizabeth Schupbach Kraft in Burlington and passed from this life on August 19, 2014 at her home in Cherokee. On February 8, 1948 she married John T. Elliott in Stella, Missouri. Their family included three children: Nancy, John and Jim. Eula had lived in this area for 70 years, moving from Pekin, Illinois. Eula was famous for her world class fried chicken and egg noodles. Her days were filled with gardening, playing cards and spending time with her dear friends and family in Cherokee. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Cherokee, where she participated in UMW activities.
Those who are left to cherish Eula's memory include her children, Nancy Dourneen and husband, Phil and Jim R. Elliott and wife, Paula; two grandchildren, Casey Quinn Elliott and Michele K. Willson; two great grandchildren, Emelee and Ryan Willson and her sister, Irene Kisling.
Her husband, John Elliott and her son, John Elliott, Jr. preceded her in death.
We will all miss her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.
