Ella Hood

Goltry-Funeral service for Ella Hood, 92, will be Wednesday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel in Helena. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, west of Aline. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and before the service on Tuesday.

Ella was born on April 7, 1922 in Hulbert to Walter Keener and Lizzie Blue Keener and passed from this life on January 9, 2014 in Cunningham, Kansas. She married Leonard W. Hood on November 14, 1943 in Tahlequah. Ella lived in several locations including Enid, state of Colorado, Aline, Goltry and the last six years in Cunningham, Kansas. Ella enjoyed playing bingo and quilting. She was an excellent cook and was known for her homemade cinnamon rolls. Ella attended the Christian Church in Goltry.

Those who preceded her in death include her husband; her parents; one infant child; three sisters; two brothers and one grandson.

Survivors of Ella include her four children, Seibrena Casey and husband, Tim, Gary Hood all of Attica, Kansas, Linda Booze of Okarche and Diana Ballard and husband, Ray of Meno; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a host of other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorials may be given to Hilltop Manor or Cunningham Christian Church though the funeral home.
