She went to Englewood Grade School, then attended Cleo Springs High School, graduating from Ringwood High School with the class of 1935. On February 29, 1936 Edythe married J.R. “Jack” Foster. They lived in rural Cleo Springs, then moved to farm west of Ringwood in 1940, where she and Jack lived and farmed until 1974. They then built a home and moved to Ringwood. Edythe was an active lady and participated in many community and church activities. She was often teased and called “Mother Superior” as well as accused of running the town of Ringwood. Edythe was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ringwood.

She was a wonderful Mom, Grandma, friend and cook. She took with her the recipe for “delicious noodles” and homemade bread.

Her Ringwood UMC activities were many. As a member, she served on several church boards and was President of UMW. Anything that needed done, she saw that it happened. Her family was always very important. She saw that each one was loved and cared for.
