Dennis Stapleton

KIOWA-“Beaver” Dennis Dean Stapleton, 62, was born August 17, 1950 in Atlantic, Iowa to James and Leona Stapleton. He passed away at his home in Kiowa on Saturday, March 16, 2013.
After High School he worked on the family farm in Iowa and also worked for a local veterinarian. In the 80’s he moved to Ulysses, Kansas and worked in livestock for the majority of his life. In the early 2000’s he started working in the oilfield service business, which brought him to Kiowa, Kansas in 2008. In 2010 he retired out of the oilfield service business due to health problems. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing; with the help of his friends he was able to continue these hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Wilbur Stapleton..
He is survived by his mother, Leona Stapleton; brother, George Stapleton; two sisters, Sharon Johnson and Phyllis Galentine; daughter, Amee Stapleton; two sons, Mitch Stapleton and Clint Stapleton and two grandchildren Kierstin and Clint Mitchel Stapleton.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 1:00p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home chapel in Kiowa.
Memorials may be made to Amee Stapleton Education Fund and given through the funeral home.
