Dana Beth gained her angel wings to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She will be laid to rest in Good Hope Cemetery, Helena, OK alongside her grandparents who preceded her, Harvey and Kathryn Luscombe and her dear sweet pet dog "Sugar". Dana Beth was born at the Okeene Hospital in Okeene, OK on April 13, 1964 to parents William James "Jim" Moore and Shirley Kathryn Moore. Early in life she was raised in Canton, OK, but finished her schooling at Chickasha High School. Dana Beth has been a long-time resident of Enid, OK with her mother, Shirley.
Dana Beth was special to everyone that knew her. She was a "people person", and never knew a stranger, you could not go anywhere with her without running into someone who knew her. She was extremely interested in people and "adored" animals. Dana Beth would always start out a "hello" followed by "how is your pet doing?" In fact, her favorite leisure time would be watching "Animal Planet". She was a wealth of knowledge about animal facts.
Dana Beth was highly active in her community. She was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church and absolutely loved singing with her church family. She also assisted with the Helena Historical Society yearly museum fundraiser days. Dana Beth was born with special needs and in relation to this she was very active in many organizations for special needs adults. She was a member of Enid's "Yes We Can Civitan Club" since 2006, where she held the positions of President, Vice President, and Chaplin. Dana Beth was also a participant of the Sandra Beasley Independent Living Center classes and activities where she made many friends. She also worked at the "4 R Kids Foundation" that promotes community awareness of individuals with disabilities by providing vocational, educational, social and recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.
Our dear sweet Dana Beth was preceded in death by her father, "Jim" Moore.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley Moore of Enid, OK; sister, Toni Goforth of Canton, OK; brother, William "Blayne" Moore of Morgan City, LA; nieces, Brandi Lumbert with husband, Randell of Marlow, OK, Stephanie Caldwell of Delaware, OH, and nephew, Daniel Goforth and wife, Shayla of Galena, OH; great nieces and nephews, Caleb Garrison, Kathryn Garrison, Reagan Caldwell, William Caldwell, Blayne Goforth and Miles Goforth.
