HARDTNER-Dan Pshigoda, 80, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Alva, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Hardtner Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery.
Danial Martin was born on April 21, 1924 to John and Mary Pshigoda in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Dan had his tonsils removed and met the love of his life, Norma Jean Page. They were united in marriage on August 12, 1951. Dan had worked on the railroad for a short while and worked for Coontze Implement for 20 years and also farmed west of Hardtner.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; John and Mary; his wife, Norma Jean and one sister, Esther.
Dan is survived by his daughters; Danette and husband, Roy McCort-Leonard of Wichita, Kansas, Karen and husband, Mike Howard of Katy, Texas, Julie and husband Dwaine Allen of Burlington, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Elwood Township Fire Department or the Share Medical Center Hospice and given to the funeral home.
