Okeene- Funeral service for Dale Seelke will be Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Okeene with Rev. Harold Hatt officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Dale was born on November 14, 1933 to Julius and Emma (Koch) Seelke on a farm northeast of Okeene. He attended Okeene Schools and graduated in 1951. He married Arneda Hauser on March 13, 1960. They celebrated fifty-three years of married life. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Okeene, being the church pianist for thirty-five years.
Those left to cherish him memory include his wife, Arneda of Okeene; two sons, Mark Seelke of Okeene and Matthew Seelke and wife, Lois of Okeene; four grandchildren, Courtney Seelke of Woodward, Codey Seelke of Enid, Isaac Seelke of Okeene and Grace Seelke of Okeene; one great grandchild, Greyson Seelke of Enid.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Seelke.
Memorials may be given to the church through the funeral home.
