Carmen-Graveside service for Dale Allen Oringderff will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery north of Carmen with Chaplin Bob Webster officiating. Viewing will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lanman Funeral Home in Cherokee.
Dale was born on July 3, 1953 at Cherokee, the son of Jesse Duane Oringderff and Betty Jane Means Oringderff and passed from this life at his home near Carmen on March 12, 2014. He lived in Cherokee until he graduated from Cherokee High School and then attended Oklahoma State University. While he was in school, he was active in FFA and 4-H where he won championships showing cattle. He was also involved in NRA and OOIDA. After he left OSU, he lived in Colorado and later returned to live in Carmen. As a Carmen resident he was strong supporter of the Carmen Fire Department. He had owned and operated Oringderff Trucking in Cherokee hauling cattle for several years. Then he worked at ATSI and Fleetcar and lastly, he worked at Champion Auto Carriers for thirteen years. When Lila Morris came into his life ten years ago, she brought her children who immediately became his own. Dale was a kind giving man who looked after Lila and the children well.
Those who now survive and cherish Dale's memory are his wife, Lila Morris; five children, Lonnie Morris and his special friend, Debra Gilreath, Heather Morris, Joseph Morris and his wife, Rene', Amanda Arnold and her husband, Daniel and Kasie Morris; fourteen grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Autumn VanDusen, Ariel White, Elizabeth Fletcher, Payton Arnold, Tyler Fletcher, Annika Arnold, Zoey Arnold, Chandler Arnold Dymond Morris, Malakai Arnold, Weston Morris, Merliah Morris and Grayson Arnold.
Those who have preceded him in death are his parents, grandparents and one grandson, Elijah Kane Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
