Dale Duggins

Memorial service for Dale Duggins will be Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Cherokee. Dale was born on May 2, 1935 in Oilton to E.B. and Sophie (Gray) Duggins and passed away on August 31, 2018 at his home in Cherokee.  He graduated from Stroud High School where he received football honors for All State and All American.  He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara, in 1954 and they have had sixty-four years together.  During this time he attended Oklahoma State University, Central State University and Arizona State in Flagstaff.  He taught and coached football in California, Texas and Oklahoma and was a school administrator in Oklahoma.  He retired from the State Department of Education with thirty-two years of service.  After retiring he enjoyed driving the bus routes.

He enjoyed camping with his friends, playing “Joker” with Jim and Glennis White, watching football games and enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Sophie Duggins; two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Cherokee, Oklahoma; his children, Donna Inbody and husband, Kevin of Meeteetse, Wyoming and Debbie Jackson and husband, Tim of Alva, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kory Littlefield and wife, Natalie of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Ross Littlefield and wife, Carly of Cherokee, Oklahoma, Christa Nordquist and husband, Drew of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Cody Lakin and wife, Kate of San Antonio, Texas, Lindsay Corder and husband, Blake of Alva, Oklahoma and Morgan Jackson of Goose Creek, South Carolina; great grandchildren, Tessa, Kaden, Case and Cooper Littlefield, Asher Nordquist, Styles Lakin, Haedynn, Kolton and Emry Corder and Trinity McGee.
