Graveside service for Carrie, 78, will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Cemetery. Viewing will be on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Carrie was born on September 13, 1937 in Amorita to Leonard Owen Hill and Clara Gertrude Angle and passed from this life on July 31, 2016 at her home in Enid. She married her husband, Glenn Edward Powell on June 20, 1957. She received her associate's degree and was a Licensed Mental Health Technician at Winfield State School. She moved from Winfield, Kansas and had lived in Enid for the last twenty years. Her hobbies included playing bridge, crocheting, sewing, reading and she made porcelain dolls.
Those who preceded her in death include her husband; her parents; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two children, Ginger Waggoner and husband, Henry of Enid and Gwen Powell-Maly and husband, Jerry of Enid; five grandchildren, Sean Edward Mathis and wife, Kira, Crystal Maria Mathis, Henry A. Waggoner, Jr. and wife, KayCee, Kari Ellen Honn and Brad Waken and Clinton Powell Honn; many great grandchildren; two brothers, Dan Hill and wife, Pam of Florida and Jim Hill and wife, Doris of Alabama.
Memorials may be given to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation - Cancer Division or Diabetes Division through the funeral home.
