Carol Coyle

Carol was born on August 7,1946 in Fairview Oklahoma, to Irwin Jacob Weeks and Noma (Holeman) Weeks. She grew up and attended school in Fairview, where she met her future husband, Thomas David Coyle.

Carol’s family was her greatest joy. She married Thomas on March 1, 1963, and they had two daughters, Sonya Lynne (Coyle) Savely and Dava Denise (Coyle) Freberg. She was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always praying for them and bragging on them about what they were doing in their lives.

Carol pursued her passion for nursing, attending Pratt Community College, at the age of 41. She was awarded honors, including the National Honors Society and the Dean’s Honor Roll. Carol graduated with her RN license in 1990, specializing in elder care. She worked as the Director of Nursing at Kiowa Manor until her retirement, due to health issues, in 2004.

Carol is survived by her husband, Thomas of the home; daughters, Sonya and Randy Savely of Cherokee Oklahoma and Dava “De” and Milton Freberg of Kiowa Kansas; sisters, Letha Strack of Medicine Lodge, Kathy Doherty of Park City, Debra Craven of Springfield, Missouri, and one brother, Terry and Sherry Weeks of Medicine Lodge; four granddaughters, Ashley McLean, Melissa Covert, Rachel Savely, and Amanda Stauffer; two great granddaughters, Skyler Cunningham and Aspen Stauffer; seven great grandsons, TiSean and Taden Hakeem, Zackery Cunningham, Easton Gibson, Andrew Covert, Hunter Stauffer and Dominick Covert, and many nieces, nephews, and friends from all over.

She is preceded in death by her parents, I J Weeks and Noma Weeks; one brother, J R Weeks, and one sister, Barbara Becker.

Carol’s legacy is one of love and care with dedication to her family and profession. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and devotion to those around her.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Lanman Funeral Home, Inc in Kiowa, Kansas. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
